When students understand that everyone has a backpack and is carrying something they know nothing about kindness becomes the only option.
When students empty their backpacks embarrassment and “failure” become a lot less intimidating. Without these limitations, they dream bigger and try new things.
When students stop moulding themselves to the words, standards and expectations of others, they develop the confidence to be their unapologetic selves.
April 3rd, 2023, Sam Demma is putting his normal life on hold to journey across Canada and speak to 40,000 youth about mental health, anti-bullying and kindness. His new home will be an RV, and his team will be a bus driver and videographer. From Ontario to Vancouver Island, the journey will allow for 41 days of presentations with two bookings per day. Ten percent of all speaking revenues will be donated to the mental health charity Jack.org and the entire journey is being filmed for a documentary.
